The friendship that develops among volunteers can tie their community together more closely, and naturally it will help their local poor. Finding the right timeslot for this is often somewhat tricky, and before you know it you don’t have nearly as long at your disposal to actually do some good. Obviously, when you volunteer as part of a team effort with co-workers, it will be far more fun.
